Official Season Opener this Tuesday, 16 April

Wow! Can’t beat this week’s April weather forecast. No gloves needed 60s, and next to no wind. All throws should be spot on!

Last week’s field checkout was pretty good. There are few new depressions ..I will bring some topsoil to fill. No new gopher holes. We didn’t think to inspect the 2nd field by the fence.

See you all at the Tewksbury field Tuesday 16 April at 6 PM.

Field checkout Tuesday April 9th

As of today, the forecast for Tuesday April 9th is for 60 sunny degrees!
I’ll try to find some gopher-hole filling rocks beneath my snow. I’ll try, but I’m not sure I can get any dirt, since I am leaving today to chase the sun until it disappears. I’m back Tuesday if the sun doesn’t get stuck behind the moon. I’ve heard it’s bad when that happens, but if it does.. our field has lights!

Bring your gear! We need to make sure your cleats still fit. We’ll warm up our throwing arms by splitting up into 2 teams, and tossing the disc inside a set of cones.

See you Tuesday April 9th at the Tewksbury field at 6:00 pm.

2024 Is Almost Here !

Greetings All you Disc Spinners!
Season 42 officially begins in 3 weeks. It officially runs from April 16th to Oct 15th. If weather permits, we should do a gopher hole filling on April 9th.

FYI: Our 2024 USA Ultimate insurance is in place. We will use the single-sheet, one-time sign/date indicating you agree to the USA Ultimate waiver, and collect a one-time $20 fee. That’s just a penny a throw!

The 2024 schedule is posted on http://frizzbee.com. As usual, we will adjust it as we see fit.

The 2023 stats are on the “Summaries” sub-page. Good time to scheme how you will break records this season. See you all soon.

No Game (unless the weather warms)

By 7pm this Tuesday Nov 28th, it will be below freezing.

We have had great games the past few weeks. Pretty much playing with no subs. My thanks to all those hardy souls. Unless it warms up a bit, or there’s a ground swelling of interest, looks like we are done for the season. However, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the warm weather.

PARTY this TUESDAY, October 24th

Big End-of-Season Party Tuesday evening Oct 24th, 6pm to 9, at Elliot’s house
32 Gaumont Rd.  Windham, NH.  Grey house.  Lots of parking in the driveway and yard. Lots of fun inside.

Food will be pot luck. Plan on bringing your best dish to share.
If you happen to be receiving an award, you must be there to receive it. You must be there for us to even mention your name! It’s like your season didn’t exist, if you skip the party.

Note, awards tend to be fairly randomly awarded. Actually, you should be happy if you do not receive one, since they are all too often sarcastic. You can make and bring your own award, too. Be creative.

Please RSVP to me at the party, or email bill @ ankers.org, if you are “in” for a game Wednesday evening, October 25th.
Due to Halloween, the following week we will play Wednesday, Nov 1st.
